Orchids to …

• Sharon, Esther, Collin and Mack for all your friendship, love and support. You are true blessings.

• Ron in the circulation department at The Republic and the very nice lady in the newsroom who made sure I got a copy of Saturday’s paper after I was missed earlier, from Marie Campbell. You made my day.

• The Sanctuary church on Central Avenue for the awesome prayer wall.

• the Sans Souci staff for the nice handwritten Christmas card they gave us when we dropped off donations Friday.

• nursing home staff, grocery, and retail workers for their efforts in keeping us and our loved ones safe and fed during the pandemic.

• the Supreme Court for upholding the Constitution and rejecting the absurd Texas lawsuit seeking to nullify the certified votes of four other states.

• Wanda Elgar for printing my bills for me, love Debi and Jeff Bailey.

• Joe Biden, who shows the kind of maturity and behavior we need from a president.

• Albert Nolting for his passionate performance at church. We love it!

• St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Pastor Teike, Vicar Ezra and the Columbus Brass Quintet for the joy you gave us Sunday.

• the lady I met in Hoosier Sporting Goods that shared her “Troublemaker” design with me then secretly bought a shirt to put the design on. I’d love to hear more of your testimony, thank you for your generosity. Toni Branum Perry.

• To Sunday’s spot-on editorial urging Indiana folks to wake up to the seriousness of the COVID crisis and to follow CDC mandates.

• To Lori Borgman’s delightful column on old fashioned phrases that was filled with memories and chuckles.

• Burt’s Termite and Pest Control technicians for efficient, thorough and affordable termite and crawl space inspection in 42 Jefferson Park residences.
