City utilities issues boil water advisory

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus City Utilities has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the area of Timbercrest Drive.

This precautionary measure is necessary due to a shutdown associated with water main break in the area.

Customers are asked to boil cooking and drinking water for 5 minutes until notified that the water has passed laboratory testing. The boil water advisory is now in effect and customers will be notified when the order is lifted.

Customers who have provided phone numbers to the Utility will receive robocalls. All customers affected will receive a door hanger notice prior to, and upon completion of the testing.

Columbus City Utilities appreciates everyone’s cooperation during this activity. Anyone with additional questions may call the Water Service Hotline at 812-418-6435.
