TAYLORSVILLE — A 24-year-old Columbus woman died Saturday night in a vehicle accident in Taylorsville.
Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of North County Road 280W and Fawn Court in reference to a vehicle accident at 10:17 p.m. Saturday.
On arrival, deputies said they located a male, identified as Matthew Hunstable, 29, of Clifford, outside the vehicle, and a female, Ashley Cox, 24, of Columbus, entrapped inside.
Deputies said German Township firefighters removed Cox from the vehicle.
Both Hunstable and Cox were transported to Columbus Regional Hospital. Cox was later transported to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where she succumbed to her injuries, deputies said.
The accident remains under investigation, deputies said.
