Noah Lykins // Columbus East junior wrestler

Lykins won both of his matches on Saturday, including a 10-0 major decision against ninth-ranked Griffin Ingalls of Fishers in the 113-pound final to help lead the Olympians to the East Invitational title.

His performance last week: “I feel like I was able to get through my matches and be able to score points and do well.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I kind of just get loose and get myself in a mindset where I’ll be able to succeed.”

Favorite food: “Buttered noodles”

Favorite class: “Robotics”

Role model: “My dad (Brent Lykins)”

Best advice: “Stick with what you love, and if you love it, just do it because you love it.”

Athletics goal: “To make it to state and place at state.”

If you could travel anywhere: “Montana, because my cousins are out there, and I like to ski.”

FEMALE

Abby Fleetwood // Brown County sophomore basketball player

Fleetwood recorded 18 points, three rebounds, six assists and six steals in Friday’s 56-33 win at Cloverdale and 25 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals in Saturday’s 64-33 win against West Vigo.

Her performance last week: “The whole team did really well, not just me, it it was nice.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “It usually consists of music and just sitting there.”

Favorite drink: “Peach Snapple”

Favorite food: “Cheesburgers”

Favorite class: “Physical education”

Favorite sports team: “Oklahoma City Thunder”

Favorite athlete: “Russell Westbrook”

Role model: “Russell Westbrook. That’s kind of what I base my game off of.”

Best advice: “Team is everything.”

Athletics goal: “I want to be one of the best three-sport athletes ever to come through Brown County.”
