Columbus Regional Hospital announced Clarian Cardiovascular was chosen to be its new provider of heart surgery services.

1996

New Mayor Fred Armstrong rode with a city employee in a street truck/plow to inspect conditions then declared a snow emergency after a snowstorm dumped as much as 10 inches of snow on the county, with another 3 to 4 inches expected overnight.

1971

After spilling its first load, a helicopter brought in from Pennsylvania successfully lowered bulky kitchen equipment through a hole in the roof of the new cafeteria near the center of the main Cummins Engine Co. plant.
