COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus City Utilities has named Ashley Getz as the city’s new utilities engineer. She begins her duties on Jan. 15.
Getz brings over 12 years experience in project planning and development to the role from her work as a Project Manager and Environmental Engineer at Strand Associates. She has worked on municipal and industrial projects throughout the Midwest, including authoring the wastewater collection system portion of the Utility Master Plan, managing the Westside Interceptor design, performing various on-call services, assisting in Utility Master Plan implementation, and contributing to the design of the new wastewater treatment plant, Water Street wastewater treatment plant demolition, and State Road 11 force main relocation.
She will have primary responsibility for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of all water distribution and sewer collection-related projects. She will also supervise functional engineering activities and engineering technical staff, as well as manage capital program and projects.
