GREENSBURG, INDIANA
Harold Douglas Beckett, 86, of Greensburg, passed away on January 19, 2021 at Community South Hospital. He was born on November 26, 1934, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Charles and Ethel (Roberts) Beckett. Harold was a 1954 graduate of Hope High School. He was a United States Navy Veteran. On October 9, 1959 he married Marie Stoneking and together they raised two children, Marcia and Michael. Harold was a farmer, worked in construction, and also retired from Bohn Aluminum. Survivors include: Wife, Marie Beckett; Daughter, Marcia (Ron) Runyan; Son, Michael (Andrea) Beckett; Grandchildren, Matthew Runyan, Libby (Chris) Houpey, Nicholas (Lauren) Beckett, and Aaron Beckett; Great Grandchildren, Camden Beckett, Grant Beckett, Weston Houpey, and two on the way; Sister, Iris Czap; Brother, Arnold (Janet) Beckett; Sister in law, Sandra Beckett; Brother in law, Joe Love; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Charles and Ethel Beckett; Brothers, Olas Beckett, Arthur Beckett, and Roger Beckett; Sisters, Shirley Loper and Neosha Love; Brother in law, Kenny Loper; and Sister in law, Marianna Beckett. A Private Visitation and Funeral for Family will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Friday, January 22, 2021. Friends may watch live on the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home Page at 1:00 pm.
