Winter storm watch in effect Sunday night through Tuesday

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County, along with Shelby, Brown, Jackson, Jennings and Johnson counties, is under a winter storm watch Sunday night through Tuesday.

The National Weather service is forecasting possible heavy snow, with snow accumulations of 5 to 7 inches possible for the cities of Columbus, Shelbyville, Seymour and North Vernon.

The snow will be falling in portions of central Indiana, and southeast, southwest and west central potions of the state.

The National Weather Service says uncertainty about the specific track of the storm system remains high, and a change in the path of the storm could change the snowfall amounts.
