COLUMBUS
Angela Keeton Voelz, 58, passed away during the night of February 28, 2021.
She was born on November 25, 1962, to Connie Meshberger Curry and the late, Robert Keeton.
Angie lived all of her years in Columbus. She is a graduate of Columbus North High School and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Bloomington. Angie married Tony Voelz on November 7, 1994. She delighted in long hours in the kitchen and enjoyed serving up delicious culinary treats to an appreciating audience. For many years, Angie prized her summers at the family cabin on Grandview Lake, and happily played hostess to grateful friends and family from around the globe. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, not to mention, her fun and harmless shenanigans.
Surviving are her husband, Tony; children, Lily Clair Voelz of Terre Haute, Easton Edward Voelz of Greenfield; mother, Connie Curry of Columbus; brothers, James Curry, Mark (Katherine) Curry, both of Indianapolis; sister, Denise Shafer of Jennings County; aunts, Mary Ann Meshberger, also of Indianapolis, Lisa (Bob) Gatesy of Columbus; uncle, Pat (Laurie) Patwardhan of Cleveland, Ohio; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Keeton and uncle, Lynn Meshberger.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sandy Hook United Methodist Church, 1610 Taylor Road, Columbus, Indiana 47203, with Rev. Paul Dazet officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at church. In keeping with the family’s request, cremation has taken place. We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the church and masks are required.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
