COLUMBUS, Ind. — Turning Point Domestic Violence Services has canceled the Dance Mini-thon event scheduled for April 17, saying the decision was made after much consideration and was difficult.

This event was an adapted version of the traditional Dance Marathon event held for Bartholomew County high school students every February. The health and safety of students, Turning Point staff, and volunteers has always been a priority during the planning process, organizers said. Considering all factors, the event planned could not be possible.
The current committee members and Turning Point prevention team are currently underway in planning smaller, more focused opportunities to engage local teens in healthy relationship
education. The Dance Marathon event will return in 2022.
