COLUMBUS
Clarice Faye Whitis, 83, of Columbus passed from this life at 12:32 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
Mrs. Whitis was born January 19, 1938, in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of D.P. and Verda Mae Temple Arterburn.
She married Clarence B. Whitis July 26, 1958.
She was an active member of Ogilville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years; children, Cheryl (Rob) Motosicky, Terry (Jo Tabler) Whitis, Troy (Lori) Whitis, Sandra (Don) Perry and Jason (Donna) Whitis all of Columbus; grandchildren, Bradley (Kirsten) Shofner, Brandon (Morgan) Shofner, Clayton Motosicky, Dustin (Rachel) Whitis, Cody (Erin) Whitis, Jake (Carissa) Perry, Joey Perry, Allison Bates, Kaylyn Bates, Megan (Nathan) Barnett, Marissa Whitis, Makayla (Dakota Burton) Whitis and Brayden Whitis and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William D. Arterburn and Louis B. Arterburn; and her sisters, Catherine Arterburn, Lavoyce Arterburn and Betty Lou Spencer.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Ogilville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to time of service Friday at the church.
We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the church and masks are required.
Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery.
