gBETA announces spring cohort

INDIANAPOLIS – Startup accelerator gener8tor has announced the participants selected for its gBETA Bloomington-Columbus and Indy Spring 2021 cohorts.

The 10 participating startups represent a wide variety of industries and verticals, including Fintech, GovTech, EdTech and Healthcare.

Since coming to Indiana in 2018, gBETA has helped create positive outcomes for its 50 alumni, who have raised over $26.4 million in follow-on financing and created more than 200 jobs. This is the fourth expansion of programming for the gold-tier accelerator in Indiana within the past year.

The first is the inaugural gBETA Bloomington-Columbus program in partnership with Velocities, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, The Mill, and Elevate Ventures. The program is industry and vertical agnostic but only open to companies operating within the Velocities region.

The second is the traditional gBETA Indianapolis program that has been run in Indiana since 2018. This program is industry and vertical agnostic and offers opportunities to support many areas, from tech to product-based organizations.

gBETA is a free, seven-week accelerator that works with five startups at a time for no fees and no equity. gBETA is a program of nationally ranked startup accelerator gener8tor. Each cohort is kept small to ensure meaningful engagement with the gener8tor team, network and other resources. Participants receive intensive and individualized coaching and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors. The program is designed to help startups gain early customer traction on their product or idea, and establish metrics that can make them competitive applicants for full-time, equity-based accelerators or seed investment.

The program kicked off March 4, and the startups will work with the gener8tor team over the next seven weeks to meet mentors, gain customer traction and pitch to investors. Due to COVID-19, the Spring 2021 programs are all being held virtually.
