Two injured in Shelby County shooting

SHELBYVILLE — Shelby County sheriff deputies have identified two individuals involved in a shooting incident in the 3000 block of East County Road 8755 on Sunday.

Tyler Meadows, 29, Waldron, was shot in the incident and was taken by Lifeline helicopter to IU Health Methodist Hospital, deputies said.

Another male that was injured is Zachariah Jareski 28, of Waldron.

Deputies said there was some type of altercation between the two men, which resulted in injuries to Jareski and a gunshot wound to Meadows, who is listed in serious condition at Methodist. Jareski was also treated at a hospital but his condition is unknown at this time, deputies said.

The incident remains under investigation, deputies said.
