Easter egg hunts planned this week

Several Easter egg hunts are planned in the area this week.

They include:

  • Bartholomew County 4-H Junior Leaders will have an Easter egg hunt at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 at the fairgrounds at the Community Building. All ages are welcome.
  • The 62nd annual WCSI Community Easter Egg Hunt will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Donner Park in Columbus. It is for kids age 8 and under, with designated age groups. Families should bring their own baskets. Visit 1010wcsi.com for details.
  • The American Legion Easter egg hunt will be from noon to 1 p.m. at 2515 25th St. There is a lunch (kids eat free) from 11 a.m. to noon, hot dogs, chips and a drink for $5.
  • The Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center’s Annual Easter egg hunt will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the yard to the west of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. administration building, at 13th and Cottage streets. Participants are asked to war a mask and practice social distancing, and bring baskets to collect eggs. Cummins Inc. donated eggs and candy for this hunt. For more information, call 812-379-1630.
