SEYMOUR
James Posey, 30, of Seymour, passed away March 29, 2021 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
James was born December 6, 1990 in Columbus. He was a very kind and creative soul, enjoying art, especially tattooing. He was always trying to help everyone he met. James enjoyed skateboarding and loved music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children.
James is survived by his mother Cheryl Whedon Posey; his children Draven and Kassandria Posey; his siblings David Fields, Larry Cross, Shanda (Billy Taulbee) Posey, and Keesha Stewart; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews as well as several other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by a sister Amy Whedon; grandparents Larry and Sharon Whedon; great-grandparents Leona and Maurice Ash; as well as a niece Geonna Lloyd.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday April 5, 2021 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Monday. Burial will be at Lambert Cemetery.
