A local man was arrested after an alert about a suspicious person in the area of North U.S. 31 and Woodland Parks Drive at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday.
Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Sellers responded to the area and located a male subject and recognized him as Isaiah Perry, 32, of 720 N. Marr Road, who had an outstanding Bartholomew County arrest warrant, deputies said.
Sellers placed Perry under arrest and located narcotics paraphernalia and a digital scale in a bag in his possession, deputies said. Sellers also located suspected methamphetamine, found in a jacket, that the suspect had apparently dropped near a residence in the area.
Perry was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and the arrest warrant, deputies said.
Perry was being held in jail in lieu of $71,000 bond, jail officials said.
