COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. has announced plans for a modified prom for Columbus East, Columbus North and CSA New Tech students from 8 to 11 p.m. May 1 at Northside Middle School.
In order to meet local, state and CDC guidelines for COVID-19, capacity limits will be in place. The venue will be at Northside Middle School and includes the use of the outdoor football field area (with a tent), patio area, and cafeteria. In the event of inclement weather, the prom will move indoors at Northside.
Seniors and their dates will receive first priority for tickets. After seniors have purchased tickets, a lottery per school, based on enrollment, will be open for juniors and their dates. More information on the lottery process will be relayed through each school.
All mitigation strategies will be followed regarding wearing masks, physical distancing, hand hygiene and contact tracing.
After prom wil lbe postponed until 2022. In the event there is a spike of COVID-19 cases in the community,the event may be canceled.
