COLUMBUS
Farrell R. Phegley, 77, of Columbus, passed from this life at 2:50 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Phegley was born July 3, 1943, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Everett Leon and Mary E. Holton Phegley.
He married Jennie L. Pitts December 11, 1965.
Farrell retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2005 after 431/2 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years; daughter, Andrea (Shelly) Schuyler of Hartsville and David (Heather) Phegley of Downers Grove, Illinois; grandchildren, Olivia (Zach King) Schuyler, Lauren Phegley, Aiden Phegley, Meredith Phegley and Gwyneth Phegley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Phegley and a sister, Rose Schafstall.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Deacon Tom Hill officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
