Former Columbus painter Carole Wantz, of St. Louis, Missouri, is featuring an eclectic mix of her primitive art in a 30-piece show called “The Artwork of Carole Wantz: Collected Stories from Columbus, Indiana” displayed at the Indiana State Museum’s Thomas A. King Bridge Gallery in downtown Indianapolis. Wantz’s work, done for corporate leaders such as the late J. Irwin Miller and many other people during her time here from 1975 to 1985, highlights a homey, warm, folk-art feel. Your museum admission price gets you into the exhibition.
