The Bartholomew County Health Department vaccinated 924 people against COVID-19 at a mass vaccination clinic held this past weekend at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds.
The clinic, which was from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds Pavilion, 750 W. County Road 200S, administered the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and was the first of its kind in the county.
Those who were vaccinated on Saturday at the clinic will receive their second dose at the fairgrounds on May 8, health officials said.
"It went really well," said Amanda Organist, director of nursing at the Bartholomew County Health Department. "We had a pretty steady flow all day."
Health officials previously said they were expecting to have 1,300 doses of the Moderna vaccine on hand for the clinic.
County health officials previously held an off-site clinic at Mill Race Center in January.
