INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 1,263 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 707,111 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following the addition of 1,241 historical cases that had not been previously reported by laboratories. The historical cases date back to November.
To date, 12,808 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of five from the previous day. Another 408 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 3,330,579 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,320,902 on Friday. A total of 9,420,805 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 7,880 positive tests (up 13) with 155 deaths (no change) as of Saturday.
Surrounding counties reported:
- Jackson County: 4,930 positive cases (up two) with 69 deaths (no change).
- Jennings County: 2,247 positive cases (no change) with 47 deaths (no change).
- Decatur County: 2,787 positive cases (up two) with 92 deaths (no change).
- Shelby County: 4,784 positive cases (up two) with 95 deaths (no change).
- Johnson County: 17,507 positive cases (up 30) with 374 deaths (no change).
- Brown County: 1,000 positive cases (up three) with 40 deaths (no change).

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is offering vaccinations without an appointment today from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Individuals should enter through Gate 2 off 16th Street. Additional appointments are available later this month and can be scheduled at https://ourshot.in.gov. Second doses will be scheduled at the time of the first dose and will be offered at Lucas Oil Stadium.

As of Saturday, a total of 3,699,872 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,147,224 first doses and 1,552,648 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
