• Columbus Optical for the recent advice and information concerning my vision, it was much appreciated, from Donna.

• Columbus and Bartholomew County law enforcement officers who are wanted, needed, and appreciated for being selfless and brave.

• Frank’s Tree Care for the great job of removing the trees from our neighbor’s property, we appreciate the excellent work and the clean up afterwards, from Jack and Joan Allman.

• Iceland, France, and Greece for opening up travel to vaccinated Americans.

• Tom Linebarger for his letter.

• Lisa Duke, the best, knowledgeable professional financial adviser in town, at Edward Jones.

• Ron for excellent transportation, always nice to receive a compliment once in awhile from the people who love you.

Onions to …

• the non-working pay to pay property taxes online and charging a fee during a pandemic.

• those who will not get vaccinated so that herd immunity can be reached.

• the lack of logic and consistency for the last year that is causing hesitancy getting an untested, rushed vaccine.

• the political party making up stories about the climate plan such as the false one about banning beef.

• the local restaurant only posting a lunch menu but charging exorbitant dinner prices which were double the expected amount of my meal.

• the volunteer at a local food truck.

• the business leader who is a business professional, not a politician.

• the administration for bringing in illegal immigrants.

• parents who don’t teach their children right and wrong.

• parents who let their children stay up very late at night.

• the writer who insisted the party that gave tax cuts to the wealthiest while removing health care from those who need it most is the party of the “blue collar workers.”

• woke actors and athletes whose ratings are in a free-fall.
