INDIANAPOLIS
In loving memory of Heather Ruth Crowther, nee Adams, born October 11, 1956 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Heather was a devoted wife, an exceptional mother and grandmother, a wonderful sister, and a friend to many in different countries. She ended her graceful and courageous fight with cancer on May 3, 2021 at the age of 64.
She was born to Agnes and James (Jim) Adams and grew up in Northern Ireland where she went to Belfast Royal Academy and the Ulster University and where she met and fell in love with her husband John. After marriage she emigrated with John to Canada and later moved to the USA. Together they had three children; Jennifer, Michael and Stephen.
Heather was an occupational therapist and served her career in hospitals and nursing homes in Ireland, Canada, Tennessee, Ohio, Maryland and Indiana. She was accomplished at everything she pursued. She loved cooking, gardening, traveling, golf, tennis, reading and building family trees; but most of all she loved just caring for her family and especially her four beautiful granddaughters.
Heather is survived by her husband of 43 years, John; her daughter Jennifer Suverkrup (Chad) and granddaughters Claire and Rose; her son Michael (Nadja) and granddaughters Emma and Elle; and her son Stephen; her brother Stan Adams (Darlene); and her dearest friend and sister, Jill Gordon (Ron). Heather will also be dearly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in Ontario, Canada, Lancashire England and Northern Ireland.
A private visitation is arranged for Friday, May 7th followed by a small family ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Heather’s memory to the Community Health Network Foundation, 1500 North Ritter Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46219.
