TAVARES, FL
Carolyn Sue Vice, 83, of Tavares, Florida, passed from this earth to Heaven on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 with her family by her side.
Carolyn was born in Columbus, IN on September 8th, 1937 to Frank and Florence Sanders. She graduated from Columbus HS and attended Franklin College. She was married to James D. Vice and he preceded her in death.
She was employed and retired from Indiana Bell as a telephone operator and computer analyst. She was a member of Slayden Baptist Church in Slayden, TN. She also attended Tavares First Baptist Church of Tavares, Florida. She was baptized later in life at Slayden Baptist Church in Slayden, TN.
Carolyn was survived by her children, Mark E. Vice (Marta) of Tavares, Florida; Joseph E. Vice (Sharon) of Greenwood, Indiana; Michael A. Vice (Cathy) of Oxford, MS and Thomas F. Vice (Nancy) of Indianapolis, Indiana. Carolyn had seven grandchildren, Julia Canter, Christopher Vice, Jordan Vice, Stephanie Vice, Mitchell Vice, Jamie Fortner and Morgan Thompson. As well, she had sixteen great-grandchildren. Carolyn has one brother, Donald Sanders, and he survives. A sister, Virginia Purdue, preceded her in death.
Carolyn loved cooking, gardening, riding her bike, attending her kids sporting events, visiting her friends in her park, playing dominoes, reading and being surrounded by family and friends. Through the loving care of Joseph and Sharon Vice, Carolyn’s final days on this earth were ushered into Heaven with love and compassion.
A service will be scheduled in the future to remember “Mom” and her journey from this life to the next.
