NORTH VERNON — Summer reading sign ups start at the Jennings County Public Library May 17 and end on July 14.
The JCPL Summer Reading Program will be a little different this year. This year, the group will be reading for a charity.
JCPL has selected Mercy Rescue and Adoption, Inc. as the “read for a cause” this year. The library has collected donations from local businesses to sponsor this year’s program.
All funds raised will be presented to Mercy Rescue and Adoption, Inc., and all pet supplies collected will be given to Jennings County Animal Control during the program’s closing ceremony.
Those interested can sign up and log minutes from home by accessing their Beanstack account used last year. Those having trouble logging in can contact the library at 812-346-2091.
