Bode went 1 for 2 with a double in a 4-3 loss to Fishers, 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs in a 4-3 win over Center Grove, 2 for 3 with a homer in an 11-7 win over Chesterton and 1 for 2 with a homer and two RBIs in a 5-4 win against Cathedral.
His performance last week: “I definitely picked it up from how I’ve been doing in the pass. I was being a little bit less selective on the pitches I was getting and just letting it fly.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I usually try to envision what I’ll be doing in the game before it happens.”

Ashlie Wilson // Columbus North junior tennis player
Wilson did not drop a game in her two No. 1 singles matches in leading the Bull Dogs to 5-0 wins against Brown County in the North Sectional semifinals and Edinburgh in the sectional final.
Her performance last week: “It’s always just a challenge to play these matches and stay focused and be confident, so I thought I did a really good job with that.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “Just making sure I’m drinking lots of water, especially since it’s hot outside, and just eating the right foods and getting a good warmup.”
