INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health announced Wednesday that 282 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 744,474 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 13,220 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 11 from the previous day. Another 417 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 3,504,875 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,502,798 on Tuesday. A total of 10,464,073 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 8,135 positive tests (up one) with 156 deaths (no change) as of Wednesday.
Surrounding counties reported:
Jackson County: 5,068 positive cases (up one) with 74 deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 2,339 positive cases (up one) with 49 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 2,889 positive cases (up two) with 92 deaths (no change).
Shelby County: 4,987 positive cases (no change) with 97 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 18,245 positive cases (up seven) with 382 deaths (no change).
Brown County: 1,032 positive cases (no change) with 42 deaths (no change).

Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Make an appointment by visiting https://ourshot.in.gov or calling 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.
As of Wednesday, a total of 5,190,115 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,657,898 first doses and 2,532,217 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine; individuals under age 18 are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine only. To find a vaccination clinic near you, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance.

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
