HOBE SOUND, FLA.
William Michael Dolan, 74, of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away on May 11, 2021 at Jupiter Medical Center.
Born in Wooster, Ohio he had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 40 years. In earlier years, he was a resident of Springfield, Ohio; Columbus, Indiana and Fairbanks, Alaska.
He attended Florida Atlantic university for undergrad and graduated with a 4.0.
Educated with a bachelor’s degree, he later went on to receive his masters degree in education and guidance counseling from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
As a former teacher and principal he had a passion for Christian education.
During his career he taught at both public and private schools in Alaska and Florida. His career included the opportunity of teaching alongside Mrs. Dorothy Herron, who, along with her husband Dr. Steve Herron were influential in the founding of Hobe Sound Bible College.
A veteran of the United States Army, he proudly served his country at home and abroad. His military service included a deployment to Korea.
Survivors include his wife Della Dolan, daughter Kelly (Dolan) Scott and husband Todd Scott of Columbia, MO; son Kendall Dolan and wife Charlotte Dolan of Jupiter Farms, FL; and daughter Kristina Dolan of Palm City, FL.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Landen and Brennan Scott, Haley Dolan and Colton Dolan and many other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his brother Dan Dolan.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Daugherty Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
