Plans were unveiled for Gateway Apartments, a 60-unit, multi-family apartment complex valued at $9.5 million,  to be built on part of the former Golden Foundry site at 10th Street and Cottage Avenue.

Cummins Engine Foundation pledged $150,000 to the effort to build a Bartholomew County Memorial for Veterans on the courthouse lawn.

More than 5,000 people attended an airport open house that included a 60-plane ground display, skydiving exhibitions, formation flying, flying contests and 10-to-20-minute joy rides for attendees.
