COLUMBUS
Barbara Kay Barrix, 82, of Columbus passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Barbara was born in Argos, Indiana May 30, 1939, the daughter of Robert and Arline Dawson Miller. She married Charles Barrix, Jr. in Argos; he preceded her in death in September 2020.
She enjoyed folk art and painting. She was a member of the Mardi Gras Krew of Eve and the Playmakers Playhouse in New Orleans.
She is survived by sons, Joel Barrix of Columbus, Robert Bliss (Lindsey) Barrix of Covington, KY, Scott Barrix of Columbus and Michael (financ? Julia) Barrix of Battle Creek, Mich; 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Melissa R. Barrix.
Inurnment was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos, Rev. Max Milton officiated. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
