WESTPORT, INDIANA
Thomas N. “Tee” Spoonamore, 87, Westport, passed away at 5:41 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021 at his residence. He was born on February 23, 1934 in Batesville, the son of Rev. William & Helen (Patterson) Spoonamore. He was born in Batesville and raised in Laurel. He has been a Westport resident since 1962. He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1993 after 17 years of service. He also owned & operated Advanced Steel Construction, with this business he did many different types & styles of roofing. Tom was a member of the Westport Wesleyan Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher, church van driver and Trustee. He married Evelyn Christie in Clarksburg on February 23, 1953 and she survives. Other survivors include his brother, Phillip Dean Spoonamore of Freetown; his grandchildren, Chasity Davis (Brian Hersley) of Westport and Brandon (Alli) Bagwell of California and 6 great grandchildren, Addy, Shelby, Ricki, Jordan, Brayden and Zander. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Kimberly Davis & Gina Lynn Spoonamore; sons, Rick Spoonamore & Kevin Spoonamore; sisters, Chloe Ann Spoonamore & Glenna Dawn Brooks & granddaughter, Stacy Ann Spoonamore. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home masks are recommended.
