Flatrock woman arrested after burglary reported

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested a Flatrock woman accused of cutting wiring to security cameras and removing several items from a rural home.

At 12:45 a.m. Friday, deputies were sent to the 5100 block of North County Road 200W in reference to a burglary in progress.

While en route, the victim reported that a female subject approached her residence and removed her Ring doorbell. The suspect, identified as Crystal Shaw, 39, Flatrock, then went to the rear of the home, parked her red Ford F150 and proceeded to cut the wire of another Ring camera.

On arrival, deputies located Shaw in the truck leaving the residence. She was taken into custody without incident. Shaw had removed several items from the property and had caused damage to the rear door, deputies said.

Shaw was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:

Burglary

Criminal mischief

Possession of drug-related paraphernalia

Outstanding warrant

Shaw was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail without bond, jail officials said.
