The Jennings County Youth Foundation provides youth in Jennings County affordable activities.

Since starting their youth-focused programs in May, more than 200 children ages 2 to 14 have participated in foundation activities.

Participating in local events or benefits they hold will provide funding for the foundation to continue to give to our youth.

JCYF planned to host a benefit ride along with an activity-filled day at the Jennings County fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 23. All the money raised is to be used to continue to provide affordable activities to youth in Jennings County.

Stops planned during the ride were at the Hayden Hub, Commiskey Corner Store, and the Historical Museum.

Following the ride, a cornhole tournament, food, drinks, shopping, and music were planned, DJ Auzzie providing the music.

Ten percent of all the benefit ride food and shopping purchases will go to the JCYF, and some purchases at the event planned to give 100% of the revenue.

The mission statement of JCYF is “Our mission at Jennings County Youth Foundation is to partner with a broad network of organizations to support the identified needs and interests of youth in Jennings County. The purpose of our organization is to collect funds to raise awareness and support youth serving organizations, programs, and activities.”
