COLUMBUS
Melinda Sue Nicholas, 56, of Columbus, passed from this life at 12:36 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her home.
Mrs. Nicholas was born September 2, 1965, in Greensburg, Indiana, the daughter of Robert M. and Joann Splichal Waller.
Melinda married Harold Lee Nicholas September 5, 2004.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, LaCiea DeLay of Columbus and Lauren DeLay of Cincinnati, Ohio; mother, Joann Bostwick of Nebraska; stepsons, Josh Nicholas of Columbus and Zach Nicholas of Bloomington; grandchildren, Covin, Avarrah, Araina and Tayson; brothers, Mike (Sandy) Waller of Indianapolis and Mark Waller of Indiana and her mother-in-law, Phyllis Nicholas Everroad of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her father and a son Robert Michael DeLay.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Larry Calhoun officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
The family request that everyone attending to please dress casually.
Burial will be at Shiloh Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.
