School resource officers investigating student bringing BB gun to North High School today

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. school resource officers are investigating after a BB gun was found among the belongings of a student at Columbus North High School Tuesday morning.

Rumors had circulated at the school Tuesday morning that a student had brought a “gun” to school, according to several parents who called The Republic.

BCSC school officials said North officials had received information that a student had brought a gun to school, and school resource officers began the investigation. North is addressing the situation, according to BCSC’s announcement.
