COLUMBUS, Ind. — A suspected shooter was taken into custody Monday evening after Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Elizabethtown in reference to a shooting.
The sheriff’s office said a shooting victim was located, had multiple gunshot wounds, and was transported to an Indianapolis hospital.
No further information about the suspect, the victim or the victim’s condition has been released. The sheriff’s office said the shooting remains under investigation.
Emergency 911 logs from Monday indicate deputies were dispatched to the 10200 block of East Legal Tender Road at 6:24 p.m. in response to a reported shooting.
