Columbus native in ‘Christmas at Belmont’

A Columbus native is among the more than 600 students and faculty of Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee who participated in the annual “Christmas at Belmont” presentation.

Columbus native Delaney Jackson joined nearly 650 students and faculty from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, for the performance of this year’s “Christmas at Belmont” program, which is airing on Public Broadcasting Service channels for 19th straight holiday season.

“Christmas at Belmont” premiered Dec. 20 on PBS stations across the country, with multiple encore broadcasts. It will air at 3 a.m. Saturday, Christmas Day, on Indianapolis affiliate WFYI, Channel 20. Jackson is a 2018 graduate of Columbus East High School.

Produced by Nashville Public Television, “Christmas at Belmont” was taped live for the first time in the newly opened Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on the university’s campus.

This year’s performance of “Christmas at Belmont” features an array of traditional carols, classical masterworks and seasonal favorites in addition to selections from Belmont alumnus Josh Turner’s new Christmas album.
