I am a frequent patron at Lucabe coffee downtown. In fact, I am here reading The Republic (Dec. 18, “Coffee shop seeks to delay lease decision”). I hope you all see the value in their presence downtown. No question, they add value!
Please work with them so that they may stay downtown! Don’t ever think that Columbus’ downtown can’t evolve into a so to speak, ”ghost town,” as several of the surrounding small towns have become!
It’s a slow peel, and losing Lucabe would tear at the outer layer.
