Fast start propels Panthers past Eagles

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County jumped out to a 29-9 halftime lead and went on to hand Class A No. 7 Jac-Cen-Del an 81-56 boys basketball defeat Wednesday night.

The Panthers (9-3) hit 12 out of 27 3-pointers (44 percent) and 31 of 56 overall from the field (55 percent).

Owen Law scored 20 points, and Carter Kent and Jacob Vogel each added 12 points and seven rebounds to lead Jennings. Lane Zohrlaut had 10 points, and Keegan Manowitz dished out eight assists.
