Centra Credit Union is paying a special divdend payment of $1.5 million to Centra members later this month. Since Centra is a credit union, Centra members are owners and the beneficiaries of Centra’s profits, the company’s said.
The special dividend, known as a Member Loyalty Bonus, will be paid to eligible members through Centra’s Member Loyalty Rewards. The dividend is deposited into Member Loyalty Accounts, which are high interest savings accounts designated for cash rewards.
This is the second special dividend Centra has issued in the past year. On May 17, Centra paid out a total of $2 million in special dividends with the launch of the all-cash Member Loyalty Rewards.
Centra is a community-based, full-service financial institution with 24 branches in central and southern Indiana. With $1.9 billion in total assets, Centra is among the five largest credit unions in Indiana.
