Walker files for re-election to Indiana Senate

State Sen. Greg Walker, R-Columbus, has filed to seek re-election in Senate District 41, which, following last year’s redistricting, is composed of Bartholomew County and portions of Johnson County.

Walker, who was elected to the Senate in 2006, currently serves as chairman of the Senate committee on ethics and is a member of the Senate committees on elections, family & children services, pensions & labor, and tax & fiscal policy.

“Serving the citizens of Bartholomew and Johnson counties is truly a privilege and I am tremendously grateful for the opportunity,” Walker said. “During my tenure in the General Assembly, I have always fought for sound fiscal policies, low taxes, and our shared conservative values. And I pledge to continue the fight if I am re-elected to another term.”

A graduate of Indiana University and Indiana Wesleyan University, Walker serves as an elder at Columbus Church of Christ. He and his wife Allison reside in Columbus and have four grown children.
