Crusaders end season with win

DAYTON, Tenn. — Columbus Christian finished its season on a winning note, beating Mt. Pleasant from Blountsville, Alabama, 75-65 in the seventh-place game of the National Association of Christian Athletes Division 6 Tournament.

Gabe Ridder led the Crusaders (21-19) with 29 points, going over the 2,000 mark for his career. Ridder is the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,023 points.

“He’s just been solid his entire career, and for him to finish with that kind of game and scoring over 2,000 points, that’s something,” Columbus Christian coach Kevin Roth said.

Noah Edwards scored 16 points for the Crusaders. Cody Kiefer had 11, and Cam Pritchard added nine.

Lancers move to sectional final

EDINBURGH — Class A No. 7 Edinburgh advanced to tonight’s sectional final with an 81-46 semifinal win against Crothersville.

Caleb Dewey led the Lancers (21-3) with 21 points. Jarrett Turner scored 15, Riley Palmeter had 13 and Braylon Bryant and Landen Burton each added eight.

Raiders oust Cougars

VERSAILLES — South Decatur saw its season come to and end with a 61-44 loss to South Ripley in the semifinals of the South Ripley Sectional.

Jacob Scruggs led the Cougars (13-11) with 16 points. Hunter Johnson was held to a season-low 11.
