Tannehill Road to close for I-65 work

Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP plans to close Tannehill Road (County Road 650N) on or after Friday, April 1, to begin work on a $2 million bridge replacement project over I-65 in Bartholomew County.

Prior to the closure, nightly lane closures will take place on both directions of I-65 at the overpass (near mile marker 75) to set barrier wall, closing the inside and outside shoulders. This work is planned overnight on Wednesday, March 30, and Thursday, March 31, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Once the overpass is closed, rolling slow-downs will occur between 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. on Sundays during the first two weekends in April (April 2-3, April 9-10) for overhead demolition work.

Tannehill Road is expected to reopen by the end of October. Traffic will be detoured to County Road 280W., County Road 700W/Heflon Park Road, and U.S. 31 during construction.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
