Local man wanted on seven local warrants spotted and arrested by CPD officer

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man wanted on seven local warrants was arrested Saturday afternoon after he was spotted by a CPD officer on patrol.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., a CPD officer observed Rickie L. Ozbun, 54, of 1951 McKinley Ave., driving a vehicle on Indiana Avenue near Hughes Street. The officer confirmed Ozbun had multiple warrants and placed him under arrest a short time later, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Ozbun was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where was remanded to
their custody on the seven local warrants for failure to appear on numerous charges including operating a vehicle while intoxicated, stalking, invasion of privacy, and domestic battery.

Ozbun remains incarcerated in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bond, jail officials said.
