BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY –Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies are investigating an alleged home invasion that resulted in a physical assault of a female victim at 8 a.m. Wednesday. The incident occurred near South County Road 400W and South County Road 400W and West County Road 450S, deputies said.
During the investigation, the victim stated that the suspect displayed a firearm. The victim also displayed signs of injuries.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance if they observed any suspicious vehicles and/or persons in that area during the hours of 6 to 9:00 a.m.
Deputies have been in the area searching for evidence on foot and on utility-terrain vehicles since the call was received. Deputies have also reached out to surrounding agencies for any relevant information to similar crimes that have occurred.
