The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Bartholomew County. until 8 p.m.
Also under the warning are southwestern Shelby County, northeastern Monroe County, southeastern Morgan County, Johnson County, Brown County, Jackson County and Jennings County.
At 7:16 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles northwest of Brownstown, or 17 miles west of Seymour, moving northeast at 45 mph.
Seventy mile an hour wind gusts and nickel size hail are possible. Tree damage could occur.
Damage could occur to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include
Azalia, Elizabethtown, Columbus, Clifford, Taylorsville and Newbern.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 37 and 94.
