Bartholomew County Works offers high school graduate workshop

Bartholomew County Works will offer a new workshop for soon-to-be high school graduates interested in immediately entering the workforce. The Job Readiness Training Workshop for these grads will be held the week of May 23 in the Sarla Kalsi Conference Room, at YES Cinema.

Participants will attend a one-week workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will learn about topics including applications, resumes, interviews, professionalism, understanding job offers, attitude and empowerment, building wealth, networking, critical thinking and more.

This is also an opportunity to meet potential employers who attend segments of the workshop. Recent participants in BCW workshops have received full-time job offers within one week of class completion with an average pay rate of about $18 per hour.

Class size is limited. Deadline to apply for this workshop is 4 p.m. May 19.
