Jets clinch title share
GREENSBURG — Class A No. 3 Hauser scored 11 times in the first inning and went on to clinch at least a share of the Mid-Hoosier Conference title with a 13-2, six-inning win at South Decatur.
Hannah Taylor went 3 f0r 4 with two triples and three RBIs, and Kenze Bostic went 2 for 3 with a grand slam and five RBIs for the Jets (16-2-1, 8-0). Kyra Meister went 3 for 4, Haylin Campbell went 2 for 2 with two RBIs, Izzy Brunner went 2 for 4 and Kaydence Gates and Paige McDaniel combined on a five-hitter
Loryn Pate went 2 for 3 for the Cougars (5-13, 3-5).
Trojans stop Lancers
GREENWOOD — Edinburgh scored in the top of the first, but Center Grove plated 21 unanswered runs to claim a 21-1, five-inning victory.
Four different players had hits for the Lancers (8-8).

Hauser edges Cougars
GREENSBURG — Hauser took control of the MHC race with a 5-4 win at South Decatur.
Eli Miller threw a seven-hitter, striking out 13, and went 2 for 4 with a double at the plate for the Jets (13-8, 9-1), who beat the Cougars for the second night in a row. Sam Miller went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs.
Avery Seegers went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for South Decatur (16-4, 8-2). Zaydun Sharp went 2 for 4.
Panthers take runner-up
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County fell to New Albany 9-4 in the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament title game.
Keegan Manowitz went 2 for 4 for the Panthers (16-8).
Lancers fall to Braves
EDINBURGH — Indian Creek jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings and went on to hand Edinburgh a 13-3 defeat.
Gabe Bennett went 2 for 3 for the Lancers (5-12).
GIRLS TENNIS
North blanks Red Devils
JEFFERSONVILLE — No. 3 Columbus North dropped only 12 games in the four matches in a 5-0 win at Jeffersonville.
Kathryn Wilson blanked Eva Ellis 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Aya Saad topped Addie Rose 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Siri Poludasu topped Alexis Evans 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (11-3).
North’s Annabelle Sun and Sydney Cooper downed Sydney Adams and Kirsten Elder 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Leah George and Zoe Bishop defeated Abby Leep and Hayley Adams 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Panthers top Olympians
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County claimed a 4-1 win against Columbus East in the sixth-place match of the HHC tournament.
Reagan Brown beat Katie Hong 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Tatum Brown topped Shruthika Kumar 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles for the Panthers (9-10). Jennings’ Maria Alberti and Lucy Brown downed Catherine Millwood and Katey Rieckers 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, and Amy Vogel and Caitlyn Schuck defeated Ashlynn Waddle and Betsy Hoene 6-1, 6-2 aty No. 2 doubles.
The win for the Olympians (1-14) came at No. 3 singles, where Ruth Federle beat Mia Silvey 6-4, 6-4.
Jets down Yellow Jackets
MORRISTOWN — Hauser won four matches in straight sets in a 4-1 MHC victory at Morristown.
Bella Kilps beat Sarah Essex 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Lydia Jordan blanked Brianna Flores 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (6-8, 2-2). Charlie Clark and Gabby Johns topped Brianna Batton and McKinley Kile 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Mattie Foster and Abby Blair defeated Liz Cheek and Katie Hillock 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Hauser’s Addyson Barriger fell to Abby Mendoza 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
BOYS GOLF
Jets handle Eagles
GREENSBURG — Chase Martoccia won medalist honors with a 45 to lead Hauser to a 148-169 win against Jac-Cen-Del at North Branch. Only the top three scores were counted in team scoring.
Caleb Wallace added a 50 for the Jets. Brenden Burton shot 53, and Zach Weichman had a 56.
TRACK AND FIELD
Hauser boys win
MORRISTOWN — Hauser’s boys finished the regular season with a tri-meet win on Thursday. The Jets edged host Morristown 77-76, and Central Christian took third with one point.
Cephus Zulu won the 110-meter hurdles (18.1 seconds) and 300 hurdles (46.6) and and Colin Kistler took the 1,600 (5:24) and 3,200 (12:14) to lead the Jet boys. Alex Bower won the high jump (5-9), Aleck Lopez took the long jump (20-3), Luke Brunner captured the discus (118-1), Cameron Toole won the 200 (24.1) and Hauser also took the 4×100 (46.7) and 4×400 (3:54) relays.
Morristown won the girls met with 105 points to 24 for the Jets and 13 for Central Christian. Hauser’s Callie Swegman won the 3,200 in 14:15.
