Betty Lou Froedge Wicker, 69, of Hope passed away Friday June 3, 2022 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born June 19, 1952 in Edmonton, KY, she was the daughter of Henry G. Froedge and Annie G. Harper Froedge.
Betty was a member of Saved By Grace Church.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, watching hummingbirds, going to church and church activities. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by children, Chasity Wicker of Hope and Russell (April) Wicker of Bedford; grandchildren, Kyla Wicker, Keely Rye, Kaitlin Rye, Katysha Lee and Annie Wicker; great grandchildren, Zayla Mack, Avrie Roberts, Arlo Roberts, Ollie Lee and Ozlyn Lee; siblings, Ronnie (Teresa) Froedge of Columbus, Barbara (Wayne) Pierce, Judy (Malcolm) Bragg and Janice (Kenton) Gosser, all of Flat Rock and Stella Asbury of Taylorsville and several nieces and nephews.
Betty’s funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Brother Tommy Asbury officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from noon until service time. Burial will follow at Hawcreek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Norman Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie; brother, Kenneth Froedge and sister, Bernese Thompson.
