COLUMBUS
Danny Sipes, 62, of Columbus passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 4:50 p.m. at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Danny was born on June 23, 1959, in Shelby County, Indiana the son of Marvin Leon and Charlene McClintic Sipes. On July 3, 1982, at White Creek Lutheran Church he married Joyce E. Manley.
He retired from Kroot Corporation where he was a dispatcher. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #741, Moose Lodge #398 and the American Legion Post #24.
He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, Nascar and going to races. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends, he treasured his grandchildren and was very proud of his sons. Everyone always called him Superman with all he’d been through, how he’d always bounce back.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Joyce E. Sipes of Columbus; proud father of Jeremy Sipes of Seymour and Josh Sipes of Columbus; grandchildren, Emmalyn, Chase and Wyatt Sipes of Seymour; siblings, Steve Sipes, Mark (Debbie) Sipes, Jon Sipes, Casper (Chris) Sipes; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Nancy Baker.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
In keeping with Mr. Sipes wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26th at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #741, 930 Washington Street in Columbus.
Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Mr. Sipes to Autism Awareness.
